Positive: Location of this hotel is fantastic as one of the few which are close to the Kagithane M11 Metro station which goes directly to the new Istanbul airport in about 40 mins which was so much better than taking the bus or taxi into central Istanbul for an hour or so through the Istanbul traffic. Its a 15-20 min walk to the metro station or 350 Turkish Lira taxi (drivers prefer to be paid in UK£, USD or Euro due to Turkish inflation). Kagithane is a suburb, not central Istanbul, but is at the end of the M11 metro line from the airport so for me it is an ideal location for an overnight stay to catch a connecting flight. There is a second metro station is Kagithane which connects to central Istanbul in 15 mins which I also used for sightseeing in the centre. Hotel owner or manager on duty was very friendly and insisted on making us tea when we arrived very late around midnight and we communicated perfectly well via Google translate on phones. Also it is the only hotel I could find in Kagithane which offers breakfast in the morning which I prefer as saves time going out and finding nearby local cafe, of which there are many in this central shopping/cafe area of Kagithane.

Negative: Our family bedroom for 4 (4 single beds, which can be pushed together) had only a bright central light. A dimmer bedside light for reading and nighttime would have been useful.

Summary: Great hotel with excellent breakfast in great location for travelling by metro to and from airport.
