Summary: Zaffer was very welcoming and the pension was impeccably clean, the restaurant had a good menu of tasty food and running water to keep feet cool on a hot day. An excellent choice for visitors to Aphrodisias.
Possible improvements- an earlier breakfast time for early morning visits to Aphrodisias when it is cooler. Kettle in the room.

Summary: This is a very nice bed & breakfast set at a local 2-storey stone house with a traditional setting. The property has a neighbouring building 20 meters away (across the car park) where the food service is provided, and a nice restaurant with local food, mainly meat and fish and including alcoholic drinks. Restaurant and eating area is next to Dandalas River, over which a historical stone arch bridge crosses. Especially a nice spot with trees around the river providing a great cover from summer heat. Surely recommended!

Summary: I was pleasantly surprised to find a historic water mill that used to be fed by natural spring water. Although the mill appears to be no longer operational, the spring water still runs the length of the restaurant in a shallow open channel that diners can experience. At one end of the channel, it split into two channels that bordered a dining table with four chairs. This had the effect of creating a special VIP "dining island" of sorts where the diners at that table were surrounded by a small shallow moat of water! The water discharged into the river below the restaurant. On the opposite side of the river, across from the restaurant, there is a small waterfall. Overall, the sound of the various water sources made the dining area very pleasant. There was also a closed-off dining area for cold days.

Summary: Cute, rustic, beautiful, built on a former stone mill with a branch of the river below running beside the dining room in a concrete channel once fed the water-powered mill from the 16th or 17th century. Bed is comfortable except for the Turkish practice of not using bedsheets and the Elmas’s offering of an uncoated rough blanket. The shower and its in-line water heater were challenging, but the tea was taysan kani and the staff was friendly. Like most of Turkey, the hotel and restaurant are not accessible on wheels due to many stairs and few railings.

Summary: Very old school but all the necessities were there. I don’t want to feel like I’m in a hotel in New York if I’m traveling in Turkey. The pension and restaurant buildings fit into the gorgeous surroundings perfectly. The host was gracious and informative. The dinner was fresh and delicious.

Summary: We have stayed two nights and are very sad to leave this morning. The location is gorgeous - tucked on top of a river with streams running under the pansiyon and the restaurant. The photos don't do it justice, it's beautiful. The family who run the place are so lovely and speak a few words of English but are super happy to help with a bit of Google translate if you need anything. The restaurant specialises in trout, lamb shish and meatballs and the food is delicious and really reasonably priced - there isn't a menu but that is fine (a meal with beer for 2 is under 600TL at the moment). The rooms have balconies and a communal fridge outside, they're plenty big enough and comfortable. And breakfast is phenomenal.
Come and stay for more than one night, it's perfect for a peaceful couple of days or so and access to aphrodisias is super easy despite being away from the touristy bit. Even if there was lots of options here (which there isn't and the other option is ridiculously expensive), we'd choose Elmas every day.
