Summary: The owner of this hotel is the most welcoming kind man. As a traveller I can cope with a lot of things if surrounded by kind people. They are also extremely helpful. The property itself does not have a lift, which is something to consider if you have heavy lugguage. The room I had was very basic, warm and clean. That said it has a lot of wear and tear which is mostly aesthetic. For example, bits of missing skirting boards, paintwork could be renewed and floorboards replacing. But it is completly clean. The shower worried me slightly as a part had caved in which made it concave and slightly unsturdy. I'm sure they would of given me another room if I was bothered excessively by it, but I wasn't. I had a mini fridge which was great. If they added a kettle it would be even better. I slept relatively comfortably but it was for only 2 nights. The hotel is positioned in an ideal place to catch transportion in Istanbul and is by the lovely Bosphorous.
